Cameo J. Hoyle is a Virginia-based artist, poet, and storyteller. Inspired by the natural world, mystic teachings, and the reclamation of feminine strength, Cameo's art explores allegories of transformation rooted in folklore, fable, and storytelling.

Her art has been exhibited at the Telluride Gallery of Fine Art, Findings Art Gallery, Riverviews Art Space, many Virginia local businesses, and has artwork in the Randolph College art collection. She studied Studio Art at Randolph-Macon Women’s College, has enjoyed a career as a Curator, Exhibits Director, and Arts Council Director. She has won several awards for her exhibit installations and was awarded a Fellowship at the Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery in 2014.

Cameo also teaches conceptual art and the art of making meaningful work to at-risk young adults through local art organizations and facilitates poetry workshops, sharing how to use poetry as a tool for mental health.
